SUGAR Causes premature ageing….

Glucose is an essential fuel for our cells. However, high levels of sugar leads to an excellerated rate of ageing by a process called glycation.

Glycation put simply is the sticky glucose from sugars building up on the collagen fibres, causing them to become stiff and rigid, resulting in breaking them down. When collagen breaks down in your skin, the skin ages prematurely, losing it’s density and elasticity, thinning out and becoming saggy, causing wrinkles and dryness.

To delay glycation, follow a low carbohydrate/low sugar diet. I would introduce Vitamin A and Vitamin C products into your skincare regime and recommend scheduled appointments for professional customised skin therapies.

Therapies such as:

  • Dermapen Skin Needling
  • LED Skin Healing
  • IPL
  • Microdermabrasion
  • Ultrasound Therapy
  • Peels
  • Oxygen Facial Therapy
